A rare and very desirable, large aluminum-bodied Ferrari 500 F2 which was produced in limited quantities in 1953 by MLB Luigi Marchesini in scale 1: 7 for the Italian distillery Toschi. These models held a bottle of Toschi cherries in liqueur and were presented to celebrities and racing drivers, including the eventual world champion Alberto Ascari. In 1952 he drove his Ferrari 500 to victory in six of the seven championship races. In 1953 he again overpowered the opposition, winning five times and cruising to a second successive driving title.
The car is propelled by a front crank and rubber band mechanism (the original rubber band needs to be replaced). This is a scarce car in beautiful condition with original windscreen and nice decals. Original tyres marked Pirelli. Comes with contemporary composition driver. Very difficult to find in such nice condition. Condition (Excellent - Near Mint). Size 23" L.
